Getting a manicure tomorrow! Then spending the day in york :) Friday I’m seeing my wife woooooo! And then she’s going back…boooo :( I’m actually really looking forward to my second year at uni, it’s strange how I feel so different towards my studies now that I’m out of school. I’m also really enjoying the first book of my Austen to Hardy module, so fingers crossed the rest of the books are just as good.
“If my world were to cave in tomorrow, I would look back on all the pleasures, excitements and worthwhilenesses I have been lucky enough to have had. Not the sadness, not my miscarriages or my father leaving home, but the joy of everything else. It will have been enough.”—Audery Hepburn (via lexieleeeigh)
“The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That’s the only lasting thing you can create.”—Chuck Palahnuik (via boundless-dreaming)
“Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you have ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.”—Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot A Vision of the Human Future in Space)
